It's been months since we've had an autocross, drag
event, or garage day, and ice racing hasn't started yet. To relieve the
monotony, come on over to Justin's place on Sunday, January 27, watch
some car movies, and play some Gran Turismo 3. The movie selection
hasn't yet been finalized, but we're hoping to at least get our hands on
The Fast and the Furious. Then we can find the Saturns, and make
infinite fun of its total and complete lack of realism. If you have any
requests, pass them on.
We're also equipped with a Playstation 2 and Gran Turismo
3 for some virtual racing action. If you have your own GT3 cars and data
on a memory card, bring it on over, and we can race your cars against
someone else's. If not, you can always just smash up my cars instead.
Other available car games are Spyhunter and Twisted Metal Black. Not
much for realism, but there's something to be said for senseless violence
and destruction, too.
This is intended to be a social occasion, not a garage
day. The garage is not heated (yet), so it'll be a little cold in there.
But if there's something you need to get done, let us know. Also, Justin
will have his OBDScan software and OBD-II interface for your
troubleshooting needs in any 1996 or newer car.
NOTE: This is the first possible day for a BMW club ice race. It is unlikely that it will
actually run this early, which is why we're scheduling the event for this
day. However, if there is an ice race, this event will be
canceled. Given a choice between watching movies or actually
racing... well, for most of us, there really is no choice! Watch this
page and the e-mail list for updates on ice racing status, and the status
of this event.
Also check the e-mail list
for directions to Justin's
place. If you're not on the e-mail list,
join it! Or you can e-mail Justin
for directions.
