Dealer Show at
Saturn of Haverhill
October 6, 2001

The early arrivals (l to r): Cris, Justin, Matt,
Joe, and Brian.
The folks at Haverhill where very impressed
with our improtu showing last time, and invited us back for a more official
show. Saturn of Haverhill planned a rather aggressive sales event for this
date, including a WROR (105.7 FM) live broadcast and CD signing session,
as well as newspaper and radio advertising. A group of modified Saturns
showing on the front lawn served as an additional attention getter and
eye opener. In fact, many people driving by honked and waved at us
throughout the day, regardless of what they happened to be driving.
The day got off to an uncertain start.
Out of the numerous people planning to show up for the pre-show breakfast
and car wash, only three cars showed up. So much for the impressive
parade to the dealer. But soon after we arrived, the cars started
pouring in.
Speaking of pouring, the threat of
rain loomed over us for most of the day. Then the sky opened up mid-afternoon
and rained buckets. After a quick scramble to close hoods, windows,
and sunroofs, we dove into cars - didn't matter whose - and waited out
the storm. It lasted less than 5 minutes, and even cleared off for
the last couple of hours!

Appearing later (l to r): Jim, Tom, Brian (again),
Dave, and Mike, with a modified SL2 right off the dealer lot!
Saturn of Haverhill provided food and
beverages. They also took down names and addresses of all participants
at the show to mail us gift certificates for parts or service. Thanks!
Also thanks to everyone who showed
up:
